Expression of Interest Intakes for Employers
Employers, not workers, submit the Expression of Interest: "Foreign nationals cannot apply. We only accept applications from employers." "The employer submits all forms and applications, not the foreign worker. Each employer must submit 1 application per foreign worker they want to hire" (YNP process for 2026). "Points are assigned based on how many priorities the employer and foreign national candidate meet." The 2026 priorities are Yukon's rural communities, foreign nationals who have settled and established themselves in the Yukon, Yukon University graduates, Francophone/French-speaking candidates, Temporary Measure Letter of Support recipients and regulated healthcare professions (2026 Operational Guidance, updated July 3, 2026). Invited employers attend an information session, and "Successful applicants will sign a Tripartite Agreement between the Government of Yukon, the nominee and the employer." YNP Streams
- "The Skilled Worker stream is for management positions or jobs that require more education in: TEER 0; TEER 1; TEER 2; and TEER 3 positions" (Skilled Worker and Critical Impact Worker streams).
- The worker needs "a full-time and year-round job offer from an eligible Yukon employer" (Immigrate to the Yukon).
- Work experience: "at least 12 months of full-time relevant work experience".
- Language: "at minimum Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) Level 5" for TEER 2 and 3, and "at minimum Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) Level 6" for TEER 0 and 1.
- Education: "at minimum a high school diploma, or Canadian equivalency; and any higher education required for the position or NOC."
